Terms & Conditions of Entry
The following Terms and Conditions shall apply without exception to anyone entering any events at the Verdeco Park Tai Tapu Run Festival. Upon signing up for this event you agree to abide by these conditions.
If you wish to withdraw from the event the following policy shall apply.
On or before Thursday 7th March 2019 - 50% refund.
On or after Friday 8th March 2019 – No refund.
If you wish to get a refund or withdraw from the race please fill in the form below with your name and details.
When entering the Verdeco Park Tai Tapu Run Festival event you agree to abide by all the rules of the event. This includes leaving the course if you are directed by an event official. An event official may remove you from the event due to on course dangers which may arise due to weather conditions, or other unknown events. An official may also remove you due to health or injury concerns.
Cancellation of the event
If the event has to be cancelled due to weather conditions, natural disaster, acts of god, terrorism, war or other reason so deemed by the organisers, the event may or may not be rescheduled and no refunds will be issued. If the event is not rescheduled – no refund will be forthcoming.
Verdeco Park Tai Tapu Run Festival has public liability insurance. This does not include personal accident insurance. It is recommended you take out your own personal accident and ambulance cover for the event. Your private health insurance policy may include this, but you will need to check with them.
We as event organisers reserve the right to use any photograph/video taken by us or our representatives at the event, without the expressed written permission of those included within the photograph/video. We may use the photograph/video in promotions and publications or other media material produced, including but not limited to: brochures, emails, newspapers, magazines, television, websites, social media etc.
Health & Safety
Ensuring all participants have a safe and enjoyable event is our number one priority. With that in mind we advise of the following Health & Safety items. Please read them carefully as they may be applicable to you personally and following them decreases the chance of an unnecessary accident or injury.
Be aware that there are NO ROAD CLOSURES on the course.
Be considerate of your fellow participants at all times.
Listen to and adhere to any instruction given to you by course marshals/race officials and traffic management personnel. They are here to help.
The course is narrow in parts where footpaths are used. Please ensure that when on the footpaths you are running or walking no more than two abreast.
Have fun, be safe and look out for each other!
Think & Act Safe
To ensure the course is safe and accessible for all participants; we ask that no scooters, skateboards, roller-blades or bikes are taken on course. All participants with strollers, prams or wheelchairs must start from the rear of their event.
No pets can be permitted on course. If you have a service animal please ensure you notify one of the event officials prior to the start of the event so that they can ensure you are looked after.
Please refrain from listening to music whilst out on course. Musical devices can distract you from your surroundings, including potential hazards and other participants. It is a beautiful course so open your eyes and ears, enjoy the scenery and enjoy your run or walk.
Medical personnel will be attendance at the Start/Finish area. Please seek their advice and assistance if you are not feeling well.
As a participant, you are responsible for carrying any personal medication, inhalers or other device required during physical activity.
If you come across another participant who is not well, please do not ignore them. If you think the situation is serious, seek the assistance of course marshals or call 111.
If you see any potential hazards or suspicious objects at the start or out on course, please bring this to the attention of race officials/course marshals immediately.
